Curious George Live

We took Lynlee to see Curious George Live on Saturday. You may remember Lynlee's love for "monkey George" here, here, here and here!
She could hardly contain her excitement when we got there. She gladly posed next to Monkey George and even said cheese! :)
(I forgot my camera so I just have a few shots I took with my phone!)

I tried to capture what Lynlee's face was like during the show but my phone doesn't have a flash so this is kind of hard to see. She was literally wide eyed and opened mouth the entire show. She absolutely loved it!

She's still talking about all the silly things George did on stage.

Surprisingly Kyndall did very well also. She said very relaxed and watched the show and then fell asleep for the rest of it.

2nd Birthday

Well we had Lynlee's birthday party a week early just in case Kyndall decided to make her appearance a little early! This year more than any other year, I needed a party where I didn't have to do anything. So since we are already members at The Little Gym, we just had it there. It was WONDERFUL! They did EVERYTHING! I just showed up. Here are the highlights. Sorry if you get bored with all the pics!

The invitation. We had to do a Monkey George party!

The table that they decorated! There are mini Curious Georges in the middle of the table. Those were the party favors.

I decided to do cookies instead of cake. So I ordered a cookie cutter and Tom Thumb did all the work. They were sooooo yummy!

Lynlee's monkey cookie with her 2 candles and Monkey George on top! She loved it!

Here's the birthday girl. We found this cute sequined "2" shirt at Babies R Us. My mom also found this little clip that says, "I'm 2!". Apparently I wore this in my hair when I turned 2. Unfortunately for Lynlee she didn't have hair to put it in, so I just clipped it onto her bow!

They had free play time and some instructional time. Lynlee and I got wrapped up like a present in the parachute and then spun opened. She loved that!

They have a little moonwalk type thing that you ride up as the air is being put into it. I had Jason ride it with Lynlee instead of me and I just thought this picture was too cute.

Sweet friends, Rylee and Cam!

Opening the presents!

From Mommy and Daddy she got a Tinkerbell couch. It has a zip up "sleeping bag" type thing on the top of it when you fold it out. She loves it!

Grammie and Papa got Lynlee a tricycle. It was take a little practice before she gets it down. But for now she loves putting her feet on the ground and pushing herself around on it. Thanks Grammie and Papa!

Gran and Pops gave her their present before we got to Little Gym, a sandbox! She loves to play in the sand center in my classroom and so I knew she would love this and she does! Thanks Gran and Pops!!!
All and all the party was a success! And we got through it with no labor, yeah!! Now Kyndall can come whenever she wants!

Lynlee's New Friends

I mentioned in the Christmas post that Lynlee is obsessed with Curious George or as she likes to lovingly call him "Monkey George".

The other night I was setting up our futon for my sister-in-law to sleep on and Lynlee decided that it would be her little play area. She set up both of her "Monkey Georges" that she got for Christmas and told them to "lay down!" and then she laid down in between them.

She just happened to have her "monkey George" jammies on. (Which she wants to wear EVERY night and is very sad when they are dirty, luckily we have 2 sets.) She laid there and just played with them on the futon! It was too cute!

BUT
now she has decided she has a new friend that she LOVES...

ELMO!

What is the deal with Elmo?? She had maybe seen him on TV once or twice and now she is obsessed. She walks into a room with a TV in it and is shouting, "Elmo! Elmo!". I don't know what it is about this little guy that is so fascinating! She can not get enough of him. This morning Lynlee starting eating her breakfast and I turned the TV on PBS and as soon as Sesame Street came on she is shouting Elmo's name again and soon it becomes, "Hi Elmo, I love you!" And she has this huge grin on her face. You could not make her happier at that moment.

I took this one this morning. She is laying in our bed while I am getting ready. She will just stare at the TV and be content with watching Elmo.

Jason and I are not sure how much more Elmo we can watch and the phase has just begun! Oh well I guess it's just one of those things we will have to go through! It could be worse!
