2nd Birthday

Well we had Lynlee's birthday party a week early just in case Kyndall decided to make her appearance a little early! This year more than any other year, I needed a party where I didn't have to do anything. So since we are already members at The Little Gym, we just had it there. It was WONDERFUL! They did EVERYTHING! I just showed up. Here are the highlights. Sorry if you get bored with all the pics!

The invitation. We had to do a Monkey George party!

The table that they decorated! There are mini Curious Georges in the middle of the table. Those were the party favors.

I decided to do cookies instead of cake. So I ordered a cookie cutter and Tom Thumb did all the work. They were sooooo yummy!

Here's the birthday girl. We found this cute sequined "2" shirt at Babies R Us. My mom also found this little clip that says, "I'm 2!". Apparently I wore this in my hair when I turned 2. Unfortunately for Lynlee she didn't have hair to put it in, so I just clipped it onto her bow!

They had free play time and some instructional time. Lynlee and I got wrapped up like a present in the parachute and then spun opened. She loved that!

They have a little moonwalk type thing that you ride up as the air is being put into it. I had Jason ride it with Lynlee instead of me and I just thought this picture was too cute.

From Mommy and Daddy she got a Tinkerbell couch. It has a zip up "sleeping bag" type thing on the top of it when you fold it out. She loves it!

Grammie and Papa got Lynlee a tricycle. It was take a little practice before she gets it down. But for now she loves putting her feet on the ground and pushing herself around on it. Thanks Grammie and Papa!

Gran and Pops gave her their present before we got to Little Gym, a sandbox! She loves to play in the sand center in my classroom and so I knew she would love this and she does! Thanks Gran and Pops!!!

All and all the party was a success! And we got through it with no labor, yeah!! Now Kyndall can come whenever she wants!

The Letter R and Little Gym

My sweet friend Kelly got married back in October. One of their wedding favors were these "R" suckers. So cute! Well after the wedding there were some leftover and one night when we were enjoying supper at her house she was handing them out so I thought, that would be perfect for R week at school! So she generously gave me enough for my class.

Well we finally had R week. Here are my sweet kiddos enjoying there R suckers! Thanks Kelly!

Last night Little Gym had their Spring Fling. It's a free open house where the kids can play, eat snacks, win door prizes, etc. We had not been to one of these yet so we decided to venture out last night. We had a good time! Lynlee had a blast!

The Little Gym

Lynlee and I did the funnest thing today. We went to a place called The Little Gym. They have classes for kids from ages 4 months - 12 years old. We went for a free introductory class this morning. Lynlee had the best time. They start with a warm up with songs and instruments, etc. Then they do a free exploring where they lets the kids climb on anything. Every 5 minutes or so they will take you over to something new and show you want you can do with them at that station. Then they do a "cool down" and you sing again and do bubbles! Lynlee had the best time and we signed her up for the rest of the summer as soon as the class was over!

Trying to do a somersault. We were successful but it took a little to get there. She really didn't want to put her head down.

I had to show this even though it's a little blurry. She loved the bar. Every time I would lift her up for her to put her hands on it, she would crack up. I was amazed that she could hold herself on them.

Balance for 5 seconds.
Give a high 5.
Lynlee did really well. Once she balanced for 5 seconds she just started walking across by herself, I was shocked.

Lately anytime anyone tells Lynlee goodbye, she starts to cry. So singing the goodbye song was not a lot of fun. She really didn't want to leave. And she zonked out in the car as soon as we started moving.

She and I had the best time and I can't wait to continue going the rest of the summer!
