19 more days...

There are 19 days until school starts and I am not ready to go back. I know that not everyone gets a summer vacation and that I shouldn't be complaining. But I am going to anyway :). I do love my job, but getting back in the groove every year, takes a little while.

I came back up the school a little in June to work on my room. I wanted to paint 1/2 of one wall red with black dots. When Mindy was in town she came up and helped me and then my wonderful sister in laws and my mother in law came to help me do the finishing touches on the wall. Here is a picture of the finished wall. It only shows part of the wall, but it goes all the way across.














Since I have finished the wall I hadn't been up to the school much. So I've been up here the past 2 days and I feel like I am getting nothing done and I am only getting frustrated. I keep getting distracted and start something new when I haven't finished the first thing I started! And I have a lot to do so I can't do that! I have discovered that I am missing several things: plastic name tags from last year, the numbers for my calendar (I have borrowed numbers on my calendar until I find mine), and I made this cute bulletin board last year that said "Mrs. Graves' Ladybug Land". Can I find the words I put together for it? No! This is really unlike me, I am usually so organized that it's making me mader because I am trying to think of the logical place that I would have put those things and it isn't there! These probably aren't the only things that I've lost I just haven't needed the others things yet. Now I have lost all momentum to finish because I want to find these things, when I could be getting so many other things finished.

Ok, I have sat here ranting long enough that the light in my room that automatically turns on and off when you walk in and out, went out on me and I was left typing in the dark until I moved. Oh goodness. Thank you for letting me vent, I will now continue my search for my missing items. I have a weird feeling that they've been throw away with all the stuff I cleaned out earlier this summer. I'll keep looking just to be sure!
