...up from San Antone...
This past weekend Spruce and I went to San Antonio so Spruce could baptize a girl at Camp Bandina. So we decided to go early and spend the day in San Antonio before we headed out to camp. We got to stay with our friends, Jenn and Ryan Green. They were great hosts and we had a great time catching up with them. And we got to visit with Adam, who I interned with during the summer of 2002 at Northside Church of Christ in SA. Let me just say this now, I love San Antonio. Any chance I get to go I will go. And I've narrowed it down to 10 reasons why I love SA:
10. Big city, but when someone asks, "Where are you from?" and they say San Antonio, you don't have to ask, "Which part?"
9. Rudy's BBQ
8. The market
7. The Alamo (Even though we lost, it's still a cool landmark.)
6. It's in the hill country.
5. It's close to Gruene (and the Grismill), another one of my top 10 favorite cities in Texas. (I'll have to do that list later.)
4. Sea World
3. The riverwalk
2. Getting to visit with all our friends that live there.
1. Alamo Cafe
View from the Tower of Americas that they just redid.
At Rivercenter Mall eating Marble Slab, yum!!

I too share your fascination with San Antonio. It's one of the few cities I would really love to live in in Texas. I hope we get to move there someday.
