The Changing Table
One of the many projects I had my family members take on for me :) for Miss Kyndall is to refinish a dresser to make into a changing table. I didn't want to spend a lot of money to buy a new changing table and I wanted to be able to use it as a dresser also. So one Saturday Jason and I went consignment sale shopping and the very last store we went to we found this one. I was able to only spend $50 on it, yeah for deals!
Next came the project of refinishing and with all our projects of course we hit some speed bumps. As my mom started stripping the paint she discovered some water damage on the top. And along with the water damage was a little mold. Yeah for us. We obviously couldn't leave that there so she dug out all the mold and used some wood filler to fill in the hole.
Well I wanted to stain the dresser and after using the wood filler we couldn't stain it. So we ended up having to paint it. I was really disappointed about having to paint it but I think it turned out really pretty. What do you think??
Mom also made a changing pad while she was here. I think the colors look really good on the dark paint. Thanks Mom! (You will also notice completely painted room behind the dresser!)
The bedding is almost done as well.
