Hawaii in pictures...

The first day in Maui we spent the day in Lahaina. A really fun town with lots of shops to go to. There is a park there with this Bayan tree. It's the biggest in Hawaii and it spread over the entire park. While we were there they also had a craft fair going on in the park. If you want to sell there, everything has to be hand-made. So that was fun to walk through and I definitely bought a few souvenirs from these people!

Later that day we went on a sunset sail around the island. It was so beautiful to just sail around and see the island from the water. This is Jayme and I on the boat (we are both prego). We stayed with Jayme and her husband Robert. Robert is one of Jason's close friends and we were there for Jason to perform Robert's brother Michael's wedding.

This is later that night eating supper at Cheeseburger in Paradise, Jimmy Buffet's restaurant.

The next day Jayme and I went to a lei making class at our resort. These are the leaves before hand.

And here are the finished products. We were sad there were no flowers on them but it was neat to find out how these were twisted and made. Later that week all the groomsmen wore these same leis in the wedding. Jayme and I also found out that if you are expecting you are not suppose to close the leis. Out of respect you are to wear them open. So that's what we did!

Later that day we went to eat at this fast food sushi place. It was the funniest thing, you sit at these booths that go right up to this conveyor belt and as the food goes by you just pick up what you want. The plates are color coded and they just add up the price when you are done eating. It was cracking me up! By the way, I ate COOKED teriyaki chicken!

That night we went to a luau in Old Town Lahaina. That was really fun. In the picture on the right Jason is Hawaiian bowling. You just roll this ball in between the sticks.

Here is the pig coming out of the ground that was oh so yummy and some of the entertainment!

Two of the groom's neighbors also came for the wedding. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. So last minute they asked Jason if he wouldn't mind doing a vow renewal. So after the luau he did. It was really neat.

At the beach and 21 weeks pregnant. I would say wearing a bathing suit while I am pregnant is not one of my favorite things to do. BUT I was in Hawaii, I had to!

At the wedding location waiting for everything to start.

The beautiful bride and groom!

The scenery from our hotel.
We had such a great time and were thankful we were able to be there to help celebrate and have a great time while we were there!

Jacquie, you did such a great job on this post! I can't imagine how long it must have taken you. You got some GREAT pictures. All of your outfits that you took are so cute!

A Hawaiian craft fair! Count me in!

I think it's so neat how you had to walk through the water to get on the sunset sail around the island. How neat.

It's funny because talking to you Wednesday night when you said "we went to a lei making class" I was having trouble picturing Jason making leis but when you said "we" I just thought you and he were the we. :) That is so interesting about the leis being open if you're pregnant. Who knew?

I think I would have been cracking up at the sushi place too. Adrian said he just read about those conveyor belt sushi places the other day. Wild!

Seeing Jason do the wedding and the vow renewal brought back so many memories of him doing our wedding. We are so glad he did! Kelly

When you said you were going to Hawaii for a wedding around Thanksgiving, I was wondering if it was Michael's. I'm excited Jason was able to do it. I be that was really special.
