Abilene, Abilene, prettiest town I've ever seen...
We went to Abilene this weekend for Homecoming. I just love going back to Abilene and ACU. It brings back so many good memories. Not only of college life, but of Jason and I living there as newlyweds! So it is so fun for me to take Lynlee and show her off a bit and let her play on campus!
One of the things we always have to do when we are in Abilene is eat at our favorite places. One of those places has been closed down for remodeling the last several times we've been there. So we finally got to go to the new and most definitely improved, Szechuan! It was just a yummy as we remembered!
From there we took Lynlee to the DRI pumpkin patch.
Then we went to the Abilene Zoo. (I know a full day and it's only Friday!) The Abilene Zoo is fun and small enough to get through fairly quickly, so we went.
Lynlee telling the monkeys, "No, No!"
Walking up the bridge to see the giraffes and then feeding them. Lynlee LOVED the giraffes. Probably because she could get so close to them!
Mindy and I at AKO Homecoming Breakfast.
(Misty, I stole this picture off your facebook :). )
Then we went to the parade.
Lynlee was mesmerized by the parade!
I just had to show this....What a difference a year makes!!
Finally from there we went to the game. Last year Lynlee was 7 months old and while we were at the game she threw up on me and I ended up leaving early. Thankfully that did not happen this time!!
Jason taught Lynlee to cheer and say, "Go Cats!" but before we knew it the cheer turned into, "Go Kitties!" Too cute!
One tired, worn out baby!
