It's Ok To Be Different

Lynlee and I were in Jason's office the other day and he has several children's books from my classroom on his bookshelf. Well the other day I pick this one up called, It's Ok To Be Different.

I had bought this awhile back to use in my classroom. I figured I could teach a really good lesson with it someday. Well I hadn't used it and somehow it made it's way to Jason's office. I don't know that I had ever even read it after I bought it. So I start reading it to Lynlee the other day and we come across this page...

I started laughing and thought how appropriate. Not only it is appropriate because Lynlee doesn't have much hair, but also because of the huge bow on top of her head!

Now Lynlee started out her life with a little hair...

And we immediately starting using bows...

And here we are almost 15 months later and we still have no hair. (She has less now than she did when she was born!)

And we are still using bows...

Now even after she has hair I will still hold onto the bow thing for as long as possible! She just looks so cute with them on!

Ha! You were meant to buy that book. I love big bows on little girls. Lynlee looks so cute in them :)

That is so funny! Tell Lynlee its ok, I didn't have ANY hair until I was around 2! And they didn't have those fun headband bows then, my mom would use the karo syrup to paste on the little bity bow on top of my head hoping it would stick, and no one would call me a boy!

That is so funny. I laughed out loud remembering Dean's comment about her not needing bows much longer. I love the bows.Love ya! Gran

I loved it. I also laughed out loud! She looks cute and adorable with or without bows, without hair and when she gets hair. Since I can't see her everyday I look forward to every new posting.

Kisses and Hugs to everyone
