THE FIRSTS
Turning 1 brought some more firsts to Lynlee's life.
1.
This is the one I was most excited about. Turning Lynlee around in her car seat. I held out till she was exactly 1 even though it was REALLY hard to wait. My mother-in-law said it perfectly, now she can see where she's going instead of where she's been!
2.
Getting measured for the first time on her growth chart. She is 28.2 inches tall which is in the 32 %.
3.
On her birthday we took her to the play place in the mall for the first time. Not that we couldn't have done this before now, we just never have. She loved it and it may become a weekly event. (I just can't bring my money in the mall with me!)
4.
Her first kitchen. This is what Jason and I gave Lynlee for her birthday, we gave it to her on her birthday so it would be all set up in the playroom so other kids could play with it at the party.
THE PARTY
Well after all this planning it's all over and too quickly! Isn't that how it always works? Lynlee's first birthday party was loads of fun. We had lots of family and friends there and we had a really good time. I will try not to bore you with too many pictures. It's hard not to take a ton so I will try to pick only my absolute favorites!!
This is the invitation the I made and sent out.
The big cake.
The smash cake.
Both cakes were made by my friend Tiffany. She did such a great job. I think they turned out so cute and were exactly what I wanted!
Opening presents!
Eating the cake.
Lynlee was so funny, when I put the cake in front of her she picked up one little piece of grass and put it in her mouth. We were like this is going to take forever.
So I stuck her finger in the cake a little bit to get the chocolate on it and she ate that with no problem.
And that was all the encouragement she needed.
She loved her cake. Thank you Tiffany!
The girls really wanted chocolate cake too, so I gave them forks and they helped Lynlee eat hers.
Lynlee and Mommy playing outside after the party was over.
(Yes I wore green to match her on purpose!)
THE END!

Absolutely precious! And can I just say that I think it's fabulous that her car seat is paisley!
Thanks for the congrats! I really wanted to be able to tell you in person at the girls' night last week but oh well! We went to church at Preston Road last Sunday so we could tell all our friends there. We'll be there this Sunday! See you then. Kelly
p.s. the birthday party looks great! Tiffany had described the cakes to me but it was so much fun to see them. Happy Birthday Lynlee!!! Kelly
p.s.s. at the antique shop I just blogged about I saw a little baby sweater that reminded me on Lynlee! :) It wasn't actually in wearable condition though.
What fun! Thanks for sharing the pictures! Isn't it fun when they get to turn around in the car seat?? A whole new look on life!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNLEY! We were so sad to miss the party. The day got out of hand for us- we want to come over soon and squeeze that two year old!
