Mommy Time!
So for Christmas I asked for a mommy day at one of those pottery painting places. These places are so cool. You pick from hundreds of pieces of pottery that they have, you painted however you want and they they fire it for you and it looks so professional. They are totally dishwasher safe so you can actually use the pieces or just use them for decoration. For Christmas all of Jason's side of the family got together and went to Kingwood to a place called The Mudpie Company and painted some really cute pieces for his parents. So then I decided that I wanted that for Christmas. So Jason went and got me a gift certificate to a place in Clear Lake called The Painted Potter. Both were good places but I definitly liked the Mudpie Company better. They had more places to choose from. So when you go you have to wait about a week before you get your pieces back. So I have finally gotten my pieces back and here they are:
I was wanting to get these before Christmas and it didn't happen and since Lynlee is so little right now I wasn't too worried about it. So I decided to make them for next year.
And of course for Santa's milk.
I made this to put up in our kitchen.
We got a new dining room set for Christmas from both sets of parents. My sister got us the lazy susan that goes in the middle of the table also. So I made this to keep in the middle of the lazy susan.
And finally, I hesitate to show this for fear she will see it but oh well. My sweet friends Lauren and Jarrod are pregnant and I made this for their daughter that will be with us in May! So Lauren if you read this, I hope you like it!
Lynlee decided to eat the tissue paper they were wrapped in while I tried to take these pictures:
She is also standing and walking along furniture. Ahhhh she is getting so big!
And I almost forgot, Friday was my last day at school so for now I am offically a stay at home mom. That may soon change to a part time stay at home mom, we'll see in a couple of weeks!

Was your last day sad? I still miss my Friendswood team. We chat it up all the time, though. Michael and I did the painted pottery thing for our Parent Gifts when we got married. The store we used (not the painted potter-she's much better) broke one of the pieces! I was soooo upset. I have yet to try it again. Your creations look fabulous, though!
Keep us posted on the move. I am excited for you.
you are so talented! i love each piece you did, and i hope you are enjoying your stay-at-home-momma time... i know i am:)
Everything turned out GREAT!! Thanks for posting the pics! You're so good--you probably didin't even get stressed:) I love the daily bread platter, and I can't wait to see it on your new table! We need to go to one of those places together sometime! Did I tell you they have one here now? Laura got me that for Christmas--we haven't gone yet, but I'm excited!
