Kid Funnies

I LOVE my class this year. I really love my class every year but some years are definitely harder than others. I have NEVER found myself saying I didn't like one of my students and truth be told I usually have a better relationship with the behavior problems because you spend so much time with them!! Anyway, my class this year is absolutely precious and I really deserve it this year after last year's crew. I love sharing stories about the cute things my kids do.

Today we did a paper that was a language review. We were reviewing common and proper nouns and complete sentences. At one part of the paper there was a section where they listed a common noun and they had to write a proper noun that related. Here were some of my kids answers: (I love the creative spelling they come up with!)

Common Noun: State Child's answer: Pencilvanya (This is good thinking!!)

Common Noun: Store Child's answer: ONavey (Translation: Old Navy)

On another part of the paper they were given part of a sentence and they had to complete the sentence to make it "more interesting" or to give "more information".

Sentence given: Pat leaped______. Child's answer: on the cacaroch. (Yes I would leap on the cockroach too!)
