First Week

Well I made it through my first week back at school. I have been with Lynlee for 5 whole months, just me and her and now I have to leave her. We didn't take her to the babysitter until Wednesday and I cried the whole way to work. The week before school started Jason's mom came to watch her. Such a blessing! It was much easier to just leave her in her bed and know that someone that loves her is watching her. Then the first 2 days of school my mom watched her, another blessing. But then Wednesday came. Jason and I were both dreading it but she did really well. I figured she would but I was still nervous. Now that I know she does ok over there, I feel a little better about it. We really lucked out and found a lady that keeps a couple kids in her house and she lives on the same street as the church building. So Jason just takes her on his way to work. She is also REALLY afforable which we also like. So all in all we don't want to leave her everyday but since we have to, the situation is really good.

I have a really sweet bunch of kids this year. Which is a change from last year. I LOVED my kids from last year but they were a really hard class. It's kind of nice to have a class that is a little easier.

Last weekend Jason, Lynlee and I went to another Astros game. They lost but we had a good time. Lynlee's cousin, Mallory, gave her her Astros' outfit from when she was a baby and Lynlee fit into it just in time for probably our last game of the season. She looked adorable! This morning when I took Lynlee to class, they had her sit in a special seat. She sat here until they started singing songs and then she promptly fell asleep in her seat!

It's so heartbreaking leaving your child with someone so you can go work and support that child. I'm right there with you. Sorry, I don't have much advice, but wanted you to know that you're not alone.

Sorry to steal your thunder on Jennifer's blog ;)

By the way, I love seeing Lynlee in all of those bows. She is precious!

Jacquie,
I have done it for over two years now, and it is still no fun. I will tell you though, Chloe just started preschool and absolutely loves it! I mean adores it!!! She is so well adjusted and just has been such an amazing little girl. I think it makes them balanced. As a mom we feel broken, but as they grow up all that matters is that they know we love them with all our hearts. I tell Chloe everyday, you call mommy if you need anything. Yesterday she said "ok...bye momma" kind of irritated that I wouldnt leave. Trust me...she will do great. I know how much it hurts and I am praying for you. I promise though, it only gets better.
