Rodeo

Well for the past 20 days Houston has had visitors of all kinds in town for the rodeo. It all ends tonight with a wild performance of ZZ Top (which my mother is going to). We bought our tickets back in January for the Rascal Flatts performance. It was perfect because it fell during Spring Break and I knew I wouldn't have to get up early the next morning for school. We even got our friends Lauren, Jarrod, Keith and Mindy to come down for the concert. This to be Jarrod's first rodeo ever :). Well about an hour before we were going to head over to Reliant I get a call from my sister-in-law to tell me that Gary LeVox, the lead singer, has severe bronchitis and they will not be performing. Arghhhh, after all this waiting and anticipating and friends coming in from out of town, the people we want to see will not be performing. In their place they managed to scrounge up Joe Nichols, Jack Ingram and Clay Walker. The concert was really not very good. I thought I would enjoy Clay Walker the most and he just ended up being gross on stage. Still acting like he was in his 20's and I am sure he is at least 40 by now. But we still had a great time though. We went through the livestock show, they were showing pigs that day, ate some yummy rodeo food and then enjoyed all the rodeo events. All in all it was fun but still very disappointing that we didn't get to see Rascal. Luckily we knew about it before we got all the way there. There were definitely some people in front of us who didn't know the Rascal concert was canceled till they got there and they were not happy! Here are some pics from the night:

The guys in their matching Old Navy windbreakers. How cute! Spruce is clearly so pleased with me that I am taking this picture!

OK Jacquie - Don't be talking smack on my buddy Jack Ingram. How did he sound? You know we are friends from High School?....He is a McC grad - class of 89. I was actually bummed that we didn't go to see HIM! Tell me how it was...I am a huge Jack fan!
Good seeing you at the shower -
love your cuz - Tracey
