Ultrasound #3

Well we went for the big ultrasound. I am at about 18 1/2 weeks along and at this point should be able to tell if it's a boy or girl. We were really looking forward to being able to find out so we could start planning the nursery. Well just our luck they can not figure it out. At first the umbilical cord was just running between the legs. The baby was moving a lot and wiggling around. Then it starting sitting indian style causing "the area" to be blocked even more. It was actually quite cute seeing the legs crossed in indian style but we were ready for them to be uncrossed to we could see what was going on. But it never happened and that nurse worked on it for so long. We were pretty disappointed but still had the best day today. Spruce and I just had the best time seeing our baby. And finding out that it is healthy and doing really well. Here are some of the pictures we got. I will try to explain the best I can what is in the picture.

This is the face with the left hand next to the left eye. It's hands were by the face most of the time. And the nurse said usually the hands are in fists but as you can see the hand is stretched out and you can see those fingers.

This is one of my favorite pictures. It is the profile. You can see the little nose. You can also see the spine at the bottom.

This is a foot and a hand. Precious!

Our doctor told us that when we come in the next time she will try again to see if she can figure out if it's a boy or girl. As Spruce says we will find out eventually. I just would really like to find out so I can get this nursery decorated. But I am definitely not giving up hope we still have 22 weeks to go. Maybe it will get less modest as it gets "older". I love ultrasound pics!
I'm sorry you weren't able to see if it's a boy or girl. Enjoy this part of your pregnancy, it's the best part!

How exciting! We wanted to find out too...but had a very modest baby. It was fun to be surprised on his "birth day" though!! I hope you get to find out...it will be fun to begin decorating and picking out cute clothes and accessories! Did you know Jeannie and Cody had their baby?

That is so frustrating! You are right though, at least you know they are healthy! You need to post so pregnant pictures so I can see your belly!
