Astros!
I love the Astros. I also love going to games. I don't necessarily like watching the game in it's entirety on TV (unless it's an important game, ie. playoffs, World Series), but I really love going to games. I've been to 4 games already this season (and I am 3-4) and I just love going. It really ends up working out well because Spruce loves it too. I think I like going more than I used to, because I understand the game better than I used to. Last night as I was sitting at the game watching the Astros beat the Cardinals for the 2nd game in a row, I started thinking about other reasons I love going to games.
Here are a few (I'm sure it's not every reason, but it is a good start.)
1. Craig Biggio
2. Shouting Big-gi-o every time he gets up to bat.
3. Finding really good parking and only paying $5!
4. The little kid who gets to yell "Play Ball!" at the beginning of the game.
5. Eating ice cream in an Astros helmet.
6. Getting the promotional give-away. Which of course there wasn't one last night. (I went to the game after opening day and Spruce could not go with me, that day they were giving out replica World Series rings and I waited in a line that wrapped half way around the ballpark to get one of those for my precious husband. Aren't I a good wife :)!)
7. Meeting crazy characters around us. (We always seem to sit next to the people who act like we have known them for 10 years, but then again Spruce ALWAYS seems to find those people.)
8. Trying to figure out some of the crazy rules that I have never heard of and leaning over to ask Spruce to please explain. (fielder's choice, double switch, what???)
9. 7th Inning Stretch, singing Take me out to the Ballgame AND Deep in the Heart of Texas!
10. All the games they play on the screen in between innings.
11. The Kiss Cam, I love it when it lands on older people, they are so cute! (I've been to 4 games and at 3 of them during the Kiss Cam there have been proposals. It's sweet, but let's think of a new idea!)
12. Rallying for a pitcher when the count is 3-2.
13. Watching the train go across the ballpark when an Astro home run is hit.
14. Winning the game and watching the fireworks go crazy!!
Got any favorite baseballs stories or reasons you like to go to games??

Sad that Craig Biggio takes up the first two spots on this list. I see where I fit in. You forgot about your boy Willy Taveras, the Astros centerfielder.
Sorry, attending with my husband is actually number 1, but I had already said that in the beginning. I love you!
I would like to publicly thank Chadley for commenting on this blog post so that it didn't look like a personal conversation between me and my wife on her blog.
I will take Brad Ausmus anyday over Craig Biggio. But they both look great in a beard.
Maybe we can meet you sometime for a game. (Probably a Sat afternoon)
