Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl!

We have had quite the week in the Graves' household. With 2 birthdays within the week we have been doing a lot of celebrating around here. We started out with a combined Jessie birthday party for the girls. Both girls have been obsessed with Toy Story and Jessie for about a year now. I thought it might die down before there birthday but it did not. It made a pretty cute theme for the party so we went with it!

I bought the girls dresses on Etsy. They also came with a matching dress for their bitty babies which worked out perfectly!!

The favors.

Gran and Pops got the girls a "My first Trampoline". We've already spent hours outside jumping!! They love it!

Grammie and Papa got Kyndall a picnic table (ironically Kyndall is not picture sitting at it) and Lynlee a big girl bike!

Present time!

(Slightly chaotic!)

Kyndall was completely in love with this giant Toy Story coloring book. It was actually Lynlee's present but once Kyndall saw it she became obsessed with it.

Lynlee also got this adorable kids cupcake set that we had to break out and bake the very next day.

Such a fun weekend!

Still to come...

Again I will repeat, we had a very busy week!!

E'lyse's Wedding

Over Labor Day weekend we flew up to Michigan for my cousin E'lyse's wedding. It's hard to believe that she is old enough to get married! We had a blast and they had a cool front come through so it was nice and cool and we got to leave the hot Texas heat for a few days!!
The girls loved the plane ride! This marks Kyndall's first!

Kyndall did not like having to sit in my lap though and there was one particular leg that was kind of brutal for her and I, but we got through it! Seems like nothing now looking back but at the time I was in tears :)!

My aunt and uncle have a pizza shop! We spent a lot of time there. This is Lynlee and Kyndall jamming with Uncle Jeff and his guitar. I spent a lot of time doing this as a child as well!

Lynlee getting her "hair done" for the wedding. She was VERY disappointed that she was being left out of all that so the sweet hair girl pretended to do hers.

Jason and I at the wedding. Jason insisted on this picture to show the one and probably only time he's worn camo!

E'lyse and the flower girls. Lynlee saying her best "cheese"!

Poor Kyndall was worn out! There were not many naps taken on this trip!

Lynlee quite literally danced the night away! I don't know where she learned some of her moves!

Kyndall and Daddy dancing.

Checking out Lake Michigan!

Quilts

When I found out I was pregnant with both of my girls I immediately started dreaming about what their rooms would look like.

My sister-in-law's and mother-in-law graciously offered to make the bedding so after hours of searching for just the right fabric I found something I loved and we got busy.

For both girls we decided to make them a quilt that they could use and carry around and wear out, etc. I chose a picture on wanted on it and we appliqued these pictures on the quilt squares and then they put it together. To make this project even more fun we passed out these quilt squares to all the family members so the quilts would have a little bit of everyone in them. So both of the girls have a quilt that their mom, Gran, Grammie, Aunt Katie, Grammie Weese, Aunt Ria, Aunt Becky, Aunt KK and "Aunt" Mindy helped put together with love.

This is me opening the quilt for Lynlee at my family shower.

And then opening Kyndall's quilt.

I obviously chose flowers for Lynlee's and paisley's for Kyndall's. So when I found out my sweet friend "Aunt" Mindy was pregnant, I decided I wanted to do the same for her.

I knew her bedding had these adorable turtles on it so I just found that same turtle online and printed it out in the size I wanted and cut the pieces and an appliquing I went. Since I was doing all the squares myself I decided to do every other square a turtle and the other ones a cute blue and brown fabric to coordinate.

And here is the final product...

This is the first time I have done anything like this by myself. My sister in law did help a little with the putting it together part. I did sew it all myself though :).

On to my next project...

Recap of the Summer Part VII

Enjoyed another Fourth of July parade in Coppell.

I love this picture of Kyndall and Zachary. It looks like they are saying, "Why are you taking another picture of us?" This is Kyndall's little boyfriend :). He is in her class this year too!
